In April 2020, Apple unveiled the second-generation iPhone SE smartphone, which comes in a compact design that has been reinvented from the inside out. It features 625 nits max brightness, multi-touch capabilities, and true-to-life colors with P3 wide color support. The iPhone SE also supports True Tone, which capitalizes on the ambient light sensor that detects the room’s lighting and adjusts the intensity and color temperature.

A13 Bionic Chip

The 2020 iPhone SE has the same Bionic chip that was unveiled together with the iPhone 11 Pro Max, 11 Pro, and 11 and is what Apple claims to be the fastest chip ever with unparalleled performance and power efficiency. The A13 chip has an 8-core Neural Engine is more focused on machine learning and can do 5 trillion operations per second, making it perfect for gaming, photography, and augmented reality experiences. The CPU has two Machine Learning Accelerators and a Machine Learning Controller for balancing efficiency and performance. The iOS and A13 Bionic enhance new intelligent apps that make use of Core ML and machine learning.

iPhone SE 2020 Camera

When it comes to the storage, the second-generation iPhone SE and iPhone XR come in 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, while the 11 series is 128GB, 256GB, 512GB.

In comparison to the 1st generation iPhone SE, the new iPhone has a 4.7” Retina HD Display compared to the 4” Retina Display of the 2016 model. It’s also fast when streaming music, backing up files, and downloading photos. It has up to 2.7x quicker Wi-Fi speeds and 65x faster cellular speeds.

The iPhone 8, on the other hand, has the same Retina HD display (4.7”). When it comes to exploring AR and launching apps, it has up to 1.4x faster CPU and 2x faster GPU compared to A11 Bionic. When backing up or downloading files, it has up to 60% faster cellular speed and 38% faster Wi-Fi speed.
